STEPS:
Preheat and Thaw:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Allow your puff pastry to thaw for about 15-20 minutes.
Prepare Puff Pastry:
If your puff pastry comes with parchment paper, use it. If not, line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
After thawing, roll out your puff pastry on the parchment paper on the cookie sheet.
Cut the puff pastry into 12 squares (adjust as needed).
Assemble Pastries:
Place 5 slices of thinly sliced guava paste on the left side of each pastry square, allowing room for folding.
Top the guava paste with a thin layer of cream cheese.
Fold and Seal:
Fold the right side of the pastry over the left, aligning the edges like a taco.
Score the top of each pastry and brush with egg wash to ensure flakiness.
Bake:
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
