INGREDIENTS:

STEPS:

  • Roast Beets:

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

    • Wrap the beets in aluminum foil and roast them in the oven for 40 minutes to 1 hour, until they are soft.

    • Once done, let the beets cool slightly, then peel and chop them.

  • Prepare Spread:

    • Transfer the chopped beets to a food processor.

    • Add the minced garlic, red chili pepper, and Greek yogurt. Blend until smooth.

    • Add the olive oil, maple syrup, and za’atar seasoning to the mixture. Puree until fully combined.

    • Season with salt to taste.

  • Garnish and Serve:

    • Transfer the beet spread to a serving bowl.

    • Garnish with chopped hazelnuts, pine nuts, crumbled goat cheese, and chopped green onions.
